The Tour de Cure is an annual cycling event … a ride, not a race … taking place in 83 cities in 43 states nationwide, raising funds toward a cure for diabetes. Designed for both avid cyclists and recreational riders, the Tour offers routes ranging from 15 miles to 100 miles … so there’s a distance for everyone, with rest stops and full route support along the way. Each rider is required to raise at least $150 to fund diabetes research, education, and advocacy … but many riders raise much more than that, either pedaling solo or teamed up with friends, family, or colleagues. At the finish line, riders are greeted with cheering volunteers, great food, and more.
The Tour de Cure offers stimulating competition, camaraderie, and a physical cycling challenge … but the real reward comes in knowing that every mile you ride and every dollar you raise brings us that much closer to stopping this disease that affects nearly 24 million Americans.
